Top-ranked Sabalenka Wins Consecutive WTA Top Player Accolades.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player concluded the season with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.

The 27-year-old won four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – which included successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Dominance

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Achievements

Sabalenka finished the season with a 63-12 match record, and earned a historic eleven million pounds in prize money.

She garnered nearly 80% of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "help bring women's tennis to a new level".
