Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed following standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the first time that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
