Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
