Barcelona to Host First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
